Start with the right mental model

TikTok distribution is not controlled by one switch called “US traffic.” Network location is only one part of a wider operating context that can include device consistency, account history, language, content topic, audience response, and publishing behavior.

A US IP address alone does not guarantee US reach. The practical goal is a consistent publishing environment and a repeatable content-learning process—not a promise that every post will be shown to a specific country.

VPN, proxy, and eSIM: what actually changes?

VPN

Routes network traffic through another location. It does not turn a non-US phone into a complete US mobile environment.

Proxy

Changes the network route for selected traffic. Quality, stability, and consistency vary widely.

eSIM

Provides a carrier profile or data plan. It may affect connectivity, but it does not independently determine audience distribution.
